Kelemahan Affiliate Marketing : Konsep Affiliate Link Konvensional Yang Rawan Kebangkrutan

Apakah anda sudah pernah merasakan bagaimana menjadi seorang affiliate marketer??

Ternyata menjadi seorang “penjual produk orang lain” gampang-gampang susah. Tidak semuanya sesuai dengan teori yang sudah banyak dikemukakan oleh banyak kalangan internet marketer professional. “Cuma jual produk orang lain, tanpa susah-susah memikirkan pelayanan kepada para pelanggan, langsung dapat komisi”. Prakteknya, sungguh sulit diluar dugaan. Banyak program-program affiliasi di Indonesia menggunakan script-script affiliasi yang sangat sederhana. Saking sederhananya hingga seorang affiliate marketer tidak memperoleh jaminan bahwa prospek yang sudah didapatkan akan melakukan order melalui affiliate link miliknya lagi.

Sesederhana itukah?? Yupz…kebanyakan produk-produk affiliasi (terutama produk eBook) menggunakan minisite yang hanya berisi halaman:

1). sales letter (homepage)
2). Order
3). Member Area (secure page) yang terlindung oleh password
4). Menu download produk dan bonus
5). Menu cara berpromosi (affiliate link, banner, dll)
6). Menu kontak admin
7). dll (tergantung kepentingan pemilik produk)

Saya sudah sangat sering sekali mengalami keadaan dimana saya kehilangan banyak prospek yang seharusnya bisa menjadi profit. Pada saat prospek melakukan order melalui affiliate link saya, kemudian suatu saat ia lupa alamat affiliate link saya, sehingga ia melakukan ORDER ULANG melalui alamat WEB INDUK (web utama) tanpa menuliskan ID REFFERAL SAYA. Hal ini bisa dipahami karena biasanya orang akan lebih hafal dengan alamat WEB UTAMA-nya ketimbang harus menuliskan alamat web affiliate link secara lengkap. Meskipun affiliate link bisa di redirect menggunakan domain gratis, namun tidak mendapat jaminan bahwa alamat affiliate link yang sudah di redirect akan stabil menuju ke alamat web affiliate link tujuan.

Tentu saja, dalam hal ini owner produk akan sangat diuntungkan. Terutama untuk produk affiliasi yang tidak menggunakan script Random (script yang akan memilih member affiliate secara acak apabila ada pengunjung atau prospek yang datang melalui web utama). Dalam jangka pendek, Owner memang akan untung, tetapi lama-kelamaan sang Owner akan kehilangan para affiliate marketernya, mereka merasa malas mempromosikan produk sang Owner karena merasa dirugikan, susah-susah berpromosi namun hasilnya tidak menguntungkan affiliater. Jika kondisi demikian terjadi, akan terdapat banyak para affiliater pasif akibat sang Owner tidak menggunakan konsep mutualisme dalam berbisnis.

Bagi anda yang sudah menjadi affillater saat ini, tentu pernah dan bahkan selalu merasakan kondisi demikian dimana peran dari seorang affiliater seolah-olah hanya sebatas dijadikan tenaga-tenaga promosi produk affiliasi untuk mencari pengunjung (prospek) sebanyak-banyak tanpa diperhitungkan apakah nantinya seorang affiliater juga memperoleh peluang untuk mendapatkan banyak prospek.

Walaupun produk affiliasi yang ditawarkan sangat baik dan berkualitas, jika mengandalkan system affiliasi konvensional (yang saat ini dipakai oleh sebagian besar affiliate merchant) tentu produk-produknya tidak akan mampu bertahan lama di dunia internet mengingat banyak pesaing yang menggunakan konsep affiliasi yang sama. Yang perlu diingat oleh anda yang ingin terjun ke dalam affiliate marketing adalah penciptaan karakter, kepercayaan, dan kredibilitas di dunia internet yang seperti “sarang penyamun” dari produk-produk sampah yang bertebaran layaknya kacang goreng.

Sekali lagi saya amat menyarankan kepada Anda untuk berhati-hati memilih produk-produk affiliasi. Terutama produk-produk ebook yang sales letter-nya menggunakan bahasa-bahasa memukau, berlebihan, terlalu banyak basa-basi, menawarkan lebih banyak bonus daripada detail produknya. Perlu adanya perubahan yang revolusioner tentang konsep affiliasi marketing yang dilihat dari segi layanan, fasilitas berpromosi, tools marketing yang bisa digunakan, harga produk (harga kisaran aman antara Rp. 100.00-Rp. 200.000) perlu diperhatikan sesuai dengan kualitas, kemudahan berpromosi, dll. Semuanya akan saya bahas pada artikel selanjutnya.

Affiliasi marketing merupakan prinsip marketing sesungguhnya. Anda diajak untuk mengasah kemampuan menjual sesuatu dengan prinsip-prinsip yang legal. Anda dituntut untuk kreatif menggunakan segala kemudahan-kemudahan yang ada di dunia maya, merencanakan promosi yang tepat, melihat peluang keberhasilan melalui kekuatan suatu produk beserta keunggulan-keunggulannya untuk disampaikan kepada khalayak melalui fasilitas-fasilitas dan pegetahuan marketing. Usahakan sebelum melakukan promosi, ada baiknya mempelajari content situsnya (produk yang akan kita jual). Kita akan diberi bermacam-macam link tracker referral kita yang akan tertuju ke beberapa halaman website yang memiliki banyak artikel review produk.
